RapidSetupX: Axis page.
- Analyze Axis data.
- Command Axis motion.
- Configure your Axis.
Overview
Some important information is shown at the top of the page:
- User Label: Create a name for your node. See UserLabelSet
- Node: Displays Node identification
- User Units: Convert raw encoder counts into meaningful units for practical application. See UserUnitsSet
- Decimals: Add up to 7 decimal places for precision
Configuration
Select your motion type and configure motion
- Motion Type Absolute, Relative, or Velocity. In absolute motion, the command position refers to a specific point in the machines working range. In relative motion, the system calculates the new position by adding or subtracting the command from the current position. In velocity motion, the system will move at a specified velocity until another command is issued.
- Velocity: Enter the desired velocity
- Acceleration: Enter the desired acceleration
- Deceleration: Enter the desired deceleration
- Final Velocity: Enter the desired velocity at which motion will end.
- Jerk %: Jerk Percent, which defines the percentage of acceleration time which is smoothed, 0.0 to 100.0.
- Create: This button allows you to create the controller with the previous specified parameters.
- Re-create: This button allows you to re-create the controller with the previously defined parameters.
Gearing
Here, you can view and modify the gearing of your controller.
- Master axis number: An index that represents the master axis.
- Gearing source: An RSIAxisMasterType value.
- Numerator: Multiple of counts that slave follows relative to master.
- Denominator: Divisor of counts that slave follows relative to master.
- Disable: Disable gearing.
- Enable: Enable gearing.
Homing
Here, you can view and modify the homing procedure of your controller.
- Move to zero: An index that represents the master axis.
- Cancel: Cancel homing procedure.
- Start: Start homing procedure.
Motion
Here, you can view live motion data, command motion, and monitor a variety of status bits.
